Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development

Youth leadership and entrepreneurship are additional areas of focus for us. SNYC facilitates the development of a national platforms for young people to advocate for adolescent and young adult issues. The Seychelles National Youth Assembly (SNYA) is one such platform, comprising elected members from all secondary schools and professional centers in the country. It empowers youth to propose motions and recommendations that improve the lives of young individuals.

The Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development section is under the leadership of Ms. Josette cadence.

Provide different educational platforms for the development of youths’ critical thinking,analytical and oratory skills.

Provide opportunities to support positive youth development which will help young people,develop leadership competencies and enhances their civic participation.

Create opportunities/platforms for youth to express themselves, voice their ideas, opinions/areas of concerns and provide input for projects or programs.

Empower youths with the abilities to guide or direct others on a course of action, influence the opinions and behaviors of others and serve as a role model.

Nurture entrepreneurial development and empowerment in youths and foster an entrepreneurial mindset, attitude and culture.

Provide multiple opportunities for youths to develop and apply leadership and life skills so as to address the needs of their members and their community.
